About the Position:

We are currently seeking a dynamic Clinical  Peer Advisor Scheduling Specialist to join our team at our office in Reston, VA! The Peer Advisor Scheduling Specialist will be responsible for Nationwide scheduling of Peer Advisor and Medical Director reviews. This includes responsibility for initiating and receiving calls from providers to schedule Peer Advisor and Medical Director reviews while maintaining a courteous, professional attitude at all times.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a courteous, professional attitude throughout internal and external communications.
  • Accurately and completely documents scheduling data in the clinical program database and the Peer Advisor Calendars.
  • Understands the turnaround times for URAC/NCQA along with the contractual requirements of internal and external Beacon Health Options Engagement Centers. Coordinates the Service Center business, to the Peer Advisor with the expertise.
  • Receives and screens calls on ACD line to determine if review needs to be scheduled or redirected to a Peer Advisor to complete the review.
  • Monitors the clinical program database Queues and Inboxes for referrals and generates a call to the provider to schedule the review within the expected time frames.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Relevant Work Experience:  1 years of customer service or general office experience with demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple functions simultaneously.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Basic MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project proficiency and Intermediate Outlook proficiency
    • Analysis and problem solving skills (Basic)
    • Interpersonal communication skills (Intermediate)
    • Verbal and written communication skills (Intermediate)
    • Group presentation and public speaking skills (Basic)
    • Collaboration and team-oriented work philosophy skills (Intermediate)
