About the Position:

Beacon Health Options is currently seeking a dynamic Business Systems Analyst II to join our Systems Configuration team in Latham, NY! The BSA II is primarily responsible for managing client and enterprise information for the timely and accurate completion of benefits and system configuration deliverables for both internal and external customers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Act as liaison between internal and external business partners to define, document, and review business and system requirements to support solution development
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of client setup, support and implementations
  • Create project documentation including functional and technical specifications, requirements, use-cases, testing scenarios, and project plans where applicable
  • Works closely with Team Leads and Management to meet department production needs
  • Leads and manages mid-level projects involving client engagement
  • Guides, supports and advises junior members of the team.
  • Analytical ability to solve intermediate to complex projects problems efficiently and effectively
  • Displays good judgment in evaluating requests – know when to raise an issue to management when there is potential for issues resulting in significant impact
  • Provide current statuses, changes, and issues to management as required
  • Quickly address and/or escalate project issues and support their resolution
  • Shift priorities when necessary to support urgent business needs
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Manage concurrent projects with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Performs peer to peer auditing
  • Ensure end products comply with SOC guidelines
  • Displays a positive, constructive, and helpful demeanor
  • Addresses data integrity issues as they arise
  • Troubleshoots data issues, validates result sets, recommends and implements process improvements
  • Effectively communicates with internal and external customers with management oversight as necessary, to elicit, capture, develop, and implement customer requirements
  • Documents production process flows
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned and required

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Associates Degree is required, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. In lieu of a degree, four years’ additional years or relevant work experience would be required
  • Relevant Work Experience: 3 years of experience in a business support environment, preferably in the insurance, healthcare or managed care field required
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
    • Excellent verbal/written communication skill and customer service skill required
    • Good organizational, problem solving, and analytical skill required
    • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask, and ability to manage varying job pressures while meeting deadlines required
    • Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic team structure as well as ability to adapt and learn quickly are required
    • Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft office programs (Outlook, Word, Visio, and Excel) and Adobe PDF required
