ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic REGIONAL HEALTHCARE PERFORMANCE ANALYST II to join our team at our office in BOSTON or WOBURN, MA. The REGIONAL HEALTHCARE PERFORMANCE ANALYST II will serve as a critical team member within Beacon’s Northeast region of clients and staff. The Analyst will help perform activities aimed to bring insight and actionable information to the day-to-day business. Helping to support regional leadership the Analyst will help to create models that measure healthcare consumption, trends, payment, and member risk profiling. This role offers visibility to executive leadership and Beacon’s portfolio of clients.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Knowledgeable of healthcare financial terms such as cost, utilization, and Per Member per Month (PMPM); working understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial healthcare programs.
  • Develop fact-based conclusions to share in decision-making process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to mine clinical and utilization data, identify root cause analysis, monitor and validate trends and capitation rates.
  • Leverage utilization and financial modeling skills to create regional dashboards.
  • Provide ad hoc analytic support aimed to understand client specific interventions
  • Perform year-over-year medical expense and utilization trending analyses.
  • Provide P&L data analysis for membership, revenue, and medical expense support.
  • Participate in monthly close and annual budget planning activities.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required

Licensure:  None required

Relevant Work Experience: 3+ years of relevant work experience within the healthcare industry (preferably behavioral health)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge and comfort with ERP financial systems
  • Demonstrate strong presentation and communication skills; detail oriented.
  • Adept with Microsoft suite of software tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
