Job Description

Beacon Health Options is recruiting a REGIONAL HEALTHCARE OPERATIONS MANAGER to be responsible for supporting the Northeast region operations team in Woburn, MA!   The ideal candidate for this position will have a healthcare background, be skilled at strategic planning, operations and business analysis. This individual will organize the operations team, projects, & ongoing deliverables and be able to track & report on the status of the aforementioned.

Position Responsibilities:

The Manager, Operations is responsible for directing multiple regional initiatives spanning departments and subject areas. The position takes a hands-on approach to assertively managing all aspects of major initiatives, including working with the leadership team to define and adhere to scope, lead and present in meetings, manage work products and plans, and ensure successful completion of initiatives. The position is responsible for grasping the subject matter and applying Beacon’s operating principles to proposed solutions.

While this role will hold no direct reports, this position will be expected to use indirect management skills to guide other regional team members and other corporate team members to ensure successful completion and execution of initiatives.

  • Along with department leaders, work to meet customer expectations while minimizing cost and maximizing value in the operations process
  • Works with project sponsors and stakeholders to develop project plans including the scope statement, work breakdown structure, schedule, and communication plan
  • Works with business leaders to ensure resource availability, workload and performance as well as to drive project vision through effective risk management and manage changes. Implements the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events in order to minimize the impact of the risks on the project.
  • Works closely with key personnel and subject matter experts across all departments to ensure coordinated management of integration project activities.
  • Develops operational and system workflows in order to analyze and recommend business process redesign and enhancements.
  • Organize and facilitate cross-functional project meetings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Develop, maintain and distribute project documentation, as required.
  • Interface with key personnel within client
  • Track and report on project status including schedule and scope adherence, risks and issues.
  • Departmental project tracking and reporting, record maintenance and archival, tool development.
  • Develop and deliver presentations as required on programs, projects, practices and issues.
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of client objectives, product offerings, and other processes
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Three (3) years of professional level experience in a technical operations role in a healthcare environment may be substituted for the degree, in addition to the work experience required below.

Relevant Work Experience: Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience, with at least two (2) of those years in a client-facing operations job. Two (2) of those years in a managed care environment is strongly preferred.
