Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Quality Analyst to join our team in the Washington State. The Quality Analyst works with the Quality Department and Beacon staff on quality improvement activities, analysis, and reporting of key quality indicators.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Working closely with Account Partnership Directors and Provider Quality Managers, develop and provide input for regional Quality Improvement plan with strategic initiatives that improves the crisis system of care.

  2. Research, reporting, and data analysis focusing on NCQA accreditation activities (e.g. Demographic Analysis of Service Utilization Patterns, Trend Reports as assigned), and provision of support to Ombudspersons for reporting requirements.

  3. Support and evaluation of clinical, service, and quality programs and activities (e.g., Crisis System performance, case management, after care, crisis system recidivism).

  4. Analysis and reporting related to regional crisis system performance (e.g. crisis line and mobile crisis teams, inpatient utilization, etc.) and participation on Quality committees and activities as assigned.

  5. Support of Clinical and Quality departments in the analysis and reporting of periodic performance data, including monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual analyses as specified in the Quality Work plan and contractual documents.

  6. Assisting in the annual provider satisfaction surveys, including working with selected vendor and writing annual report.

  7. Regular review and update of Core Performance Indicator data for the oversight of clinical and quality performance and reporting results to the QIC.

  8. Assist with operational duties including quality of care concerns, adverse incidents and grievances.

  9. Assist with mandated provider audits as required by funding and regulatory bodies.

  10. Attend Provider Advisory Council meetings as assigned and present summary information on Quality Dept. data and initiatives.

  11. Represent Quality Department at internal plan specific operations meetings.

  12. Function as team member on assigned Quality Improvement Activity (QIA) project teams and provide analytic supports.

  13. Take minutes and develop project plans as assigned.

  14. Responsible for assigned NCQA standards. This includes ensuring that Beacon remains in compliance with these standards.

  15. Provide support regarding Cultural and Linguistic (C&L) Program needs.

  16. Adheres to all Beacon policies and procedures and standards of operations.

  17. Completes all required and assigned trainings.

  18. Attends all mandatory company or department meetings.

  19. Reports to each scheduled shift and commence work and perform essential job function at the start of each schedule shift.

  20. Displays a positive, constructive, and helpful demeanor that is conducive to a safe and respectful work environment.

  21. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned and required.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or related field. 

Licensure:  N/A

Relevant Work Experience:  

  • 3+ years’ experience in healthcare, behavioral health preferred

  • 3+ years’ experience in data analysis, report writing and quality improvement activities preferred

  • Advanced experience using MS Excel

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to multitask assignments to meet multiple deadlines and performance standards

Skill in completing assignments accurately, with attention to detail, and in a timely manner

Knowledge of Medicare & Medi-Cal
