Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Provider Contract Manager to join our team at our office in Newark, NJ!  The Provider Contract Manager will manage the development of Provider Contracts, Contract Amendments, Laboratory Contracts, Pharmacy Contracts and Rebate Agreements; Housing Contracts and Acquisitions, Single Case Agreements, Letters of Agreement, and Requests for Letters of Intent.  Participates in the negotiations of contracts, providing analysis and recommendations.  Review/approval of the development of fee schedules, problem resolution, and development of provider network and re-contracting efforts with existing practitioners and providers.

**Based out of Newark, NJ with some remote flexibility.

Position Responsibilities:

*Strategize, develop, and implement the development of the provider network, to include independent practitioners, providers, and other specialized services for targeted markets. 

*Planning, directing, organizing and evaluating the implementation of strategic plans that will ensure consistency across regional operations and effective collaboration with national and regional departments as it relates to each of the above areas.

*Oversee network contracting function in assigned territory, including provider network management and development, and maintenance of network composition to ensure access and availability.

*Management and development of provider contract language to address the contractual requirements set forth by the provider.

*Provide assistance with individual practitioners requiring special fee arrangements or special consideration.

*Use utilization, claims and market data to develop strategies for re-contracting to obtain favorable contractual arrangements for Beacon Health Options.

*Coordinate contracting efforts with Clinical, Quality Management, Network, Finance and Claim Departments, and other departments for improved interrelations concerning all contracting endeavors.

*Maintain company and department policies and procedures.

*Monitor Provider contract Claim activity in coordination with the Finance Department and prepare periodic reporting to other Departments on contract capacities.

Position Requirements:

Education : Bachelor’s degree minimum

Relevant Work Experience:   Two to four years of progressive responsibility and complex management experience in provider relations, provider contracting and/or a combination or managed care, behavioral healthcare or practice management.
