Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Member Service Representative to join our team at our office in Cypress, CA.  The Member Service Representative will be responsible for assisting callers by providing benefit and eligibility information and referrals to network providers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Answer Intake ACD queues and adhere to telephone performance requirements for call response times and abandonment rates;

  • Respond to questions about eligibility, benefits and procedures for accessing behavioral health services;

  • Verify patient benefits and eligibility through health plan computer access and phone;

  • Perform data entry and route calls to the appropriate resource;

  • Determine which calls need to be transferred to a clinician, as defined by referral guidelines and established protocols.

Position Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Licensure:  None required

Relevant Work Experience:   2 years of call center experience, or 2 years of customer service experience in an office setting.  Healthcare experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Able to type 35 WPM
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Medicare & Medi-Cal
