Job Description

The Team Lead is a senior Individual Contributor who will be responsible for the technical aspects of complex development projects. He/she will work closely with the Manager of Application Development, the Software Architect, Solutions Engineers/Analysts and Subject Matter Experts to deliver on-time, state-of-the-art software solutions that support the ever changing business needs. The Lead .NET Developer will also be responsible to mentor team members technically while also performing required coding reviews/analysis. The incumbent is expected to assist in improving the team's technical ability, utilization, and overall efficiency by establishing best practices.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who enjoys being hands on with software development teams and possesses strong technical and mentorship abilities to guide successful development strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain overall knowledge of business applications and all 3rd party components
  • Work with Data Architects to determine file/database structure design and definition
  • Work with Application Architects to assure design and conformance to best practices
  • Under direction of the Manager, Application Development, lead development and assemble software components as well as development designs and assist with SA/BA document specifications
  • Help create and utilize test plans and tools to validate quality of deployment deliverables
  • Assist in resolution of issues and defects found in quality control
  • Participate in design and documentation reviews
  • Work with architects and analysts to design and implement enhancements and future release
  • Assist in developing quality and performance benchmarks for the systems
  • Keep analysts, developers, and management informed of all relevant issues
  • Consult with support teams regarding database usage, interfaces, performance tuning, and issues

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of Software development experience
  • Experience with VB6, SQL/XML, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, C#,  and HTML
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, (SDLC)
  • Working knowledge of client/server/web development and architectural principles and approaches
  • An ability to utilize and conform to design standards and methodologies
  • Supervisory/Leadership experience is highly desirable

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent course of study

Certification:

  • Microsoft certification is highly desirable
