About the Position:

The Documentation Specialist will become familiar with Beacon’s Clinical application (Connects and Flexcare) and will work with our Application Development team to craft Release Notes and User Guides for the multiple application releases during the year. This requires the ability to translate technical information into documentation that is easy to follow, understandable, and clear for our clients and business users.

The writing must be well formatted, grammatically correct, and professional. The person in this role must be a disciplined self-starter, self-learner, and should have the ability to work independently. The candidate is required to have strong organizational and time management skills in addition to being very detail-oriented.

Position Requirements: 

  • Compose content based on information provided by subject matter experts and technical design specs
  • Establish, update and maintain formalized procedures and workflows that define the procedures as required
  • Proofing content such as user guides and content to ensure formatting is consistent
  • Produce deliverables required including project plans, work plans, processes and procedures
  • Establish process descriptions, user manuals, technical and training documents
  • Create and deliver business user UAT training during quarterly/supplemental release cycles

Relevant Work Experience:  

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Writing, Communications, English, or an equivalent major.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience documenting software systems including processes and procedures.

  • Must work independently and possess excellent organization and people skills

  • Must be fluent in the English language and have demonstrated ability to communicate, timely effectively and accurately with all levels of personnel both orally and in writing

  • Advance experience with Microsoft Office 2016 Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Adobe Professional and Excel
