About the Position:

The Network Operations Business System Analyst I is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate resolution of escalated issues. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; prioritization, trending, analysis, and resolution.  Minimally, the analysis will include engaging relevant subject matter experts, identifying the solution, performing business impact analysis and implementing the resolution process. This position requires strong understanding of business operations, technology platforms and interdepartmental dependencies. The BSA I must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to take the initiative to suggest creative process improvement solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for resolution management, between the Network Operations and Network Management teams and the Service Centers, Regional Operations Pods, Corporate Departments, and Vendors.
  • Prioritize and investigate issues to identify root cause and resolution.
  • Engage relevant SMEs to identify solutions, request resources and implement resolution process.
  • Review, define, and document business necessities to support effective solutions.
  • Coordinate and implement resolution.
  • Handoff to BSA II or III or National Support for higher-complexity or IT-heavy problems or projects.
  • Effectively communicate expectations, delivery dates, status, deviations from plan, and challenges to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with departmental management to provide and conduct training and education when appropriate.
  • Assimilate and recommend opportunities for improvements in the Network Operations and Network Management processes.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of Network Operations and Network Management.
  • Accurately evaluate requests to determine when to raise an issue to management for awareness or assistance.
  • Under the guidance of management or more experienced BSAs, assist with implementation projects and operational initiatives as assigned.
  • Perform other job related duties as dictated by business needs

Position Requirements: 

Education: High school or high school equivalent

Years of Relevant Work Experience: Two years’ experience in insurance, medical, or healthcare operations or related field required

Work Experience:

  • Professional demeanor, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills, and the ability to learn Beacon’s internal systems.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently with minimal management oversight.
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized and possessing problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage varying job pressures, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft office programs (Outlook, Word, Visio, and Excel) and Adobe PDF. Knowledge working with fax machines, copiers and other office machines.
