Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic Clinical Director-Arkansas PASSE to join our team at our office in Little Rock, AR.  The Clinical Director is responsible for the clinical oversight of Care Coordination initiatives and activities throughout the PASSE. The primary focus of this position is to ensure that the delivery of quality clinical care coordination and service to members meets state, federal, and contractual requirements. The Clinical Director is available to the PASSE, Vendors and community based provider agencies for consultation in the development and education of clinical/quality initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with the VP Clinical Director to ensure the care coordination initiatives and operational needs of the organization are met.

  • Lead coordination efforts across behavioral/physical health partners and community based entities to develop programing/services to ensure coordination is integrated, seamless and person-centered service in support of the PASSE to help drive clinical and quality outcomes.

  • Lead, supervise and develop team performance and internal reporting metrics supporting total health care.

  • Ensure contract compliance and execution of all deliverables

  • Define and execute on strategic goals, ensuring contractual, regulatory and delegation agreement compliance

  • Actively cultivate key stakeholder relationships to advance PASSE’s standing on behalf of its current membership base and to support business expansion and retention efforts

  • Foster business development opportunities and strategic relationships in Arkansas

  • Partner with advocacy and key provider groups.

  • Ensure all contractual reporting requirements as outlined in delegation agreements on behalf of the program and state

  • Oversee comprehensive reporting and analysis of program utilization, cost, quality and related performance indicators

  • Actively engage and collaborate with all clinical & quality staff and internal/vendor subject matter experts necessary to achieve contractual and strategic goals for specified contract, State/region

  • Monitor HEDIS, compliance and quality outcomes

  • Primary liaison to operations for clinical activities

  • Adhere to all Beacon policies and procedures and standards of operations

  • Complete all required and assigned trainings

  • Perform annual staff reviews and establish individual/team goals for development

  • Motivate team members to reach department goals and objectives

  • Attend all mandatory company or department meetings

  • Display a positive, constructive, and helpful demeanor that is conducive to a safe and respectful work environment

  • Mentor team members by leading by example and guiding with a sense of integrity and team work

  • Meet regularly with team members for one on ones and staff meetings, as applicable

  • Identify opportunities for staff improvement, high performing team members, and training needs of team members

  • Identify areas of opportunity within department and makes improvements on processes, culture, or work environment

  • Make recommendations for consistent improvements of functions and work flow

  • Partner with Human Resources to implement a succession plan

  • Oversee the recruiting and interview strategy for departmental hiring

  • Identify misconduct and finds resolution and escalate to Human Resources

  • Travel to all company sponsored events, trainings, and locations based on business needs

  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned and required

  • 25% travel

Position Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree or higher in a health related field and independent licensure as a behavioral health professional required.

Licenses:   Current, valid and unrestricted Clinical License required (RN, LCSW, LMFT, PhD or PsyD) with proof on date of hire. Re-verification will take place no less than every three (3) years.

Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

  • 4-5 years behavioral health managed care experience preferred.Experience with financial and clinical data analysis and reporting required.

  • The ideal candidate will be organized, creative, and have strong verbal and written communication skills and will be experienced in managing cross-functional/cross-departmental priorities.

  • Experience with Behavioral Health Utilization Review, Case Management and technical operations in a managed care setting is preferred.

  • Strong background operations management and supervisory experience preferred.

  • Project Management experience preferred.

  • Self-motivated, able to effectively prioritize in a fast paced environment.

  • Can-do attitude and ability to work collaboratively with internal staff and external partners.
