Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Business Implementation and Monitoring Senior Analyst.  Under the direction of the AVP/VP Regional Operations and Implementations, the Business Implementation and Monitoring Senior Analyst is a key contributor to the Region.  The Business Implementation and Monitoring Senior Analyst will be responsible for implementing new business and upsell business by ensuring all areas of operations and services are correctly established and executed.  The Business Implementation and Monitoring Senior Analyst will also be responsible for project managing cross-pod projects and will be a key contact and participant for cross-region projects.  Business Implementation and Monitoring Senior Analyst will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with enterprise operations in terms of monitoring client performance and acting as a point of contact for enterprise operations for issues involving the region.

This team member will have an extensive working knowledge of both regional operations and enterprise operations, with a demonstrated interest and desire to develop cross-functional operations capabilities and become a true “ops athlete” – capable of driving to solutions across any number of root causes.  This individual is responsible for driving the cross-functional process necessary to successfully implement new business and upsell business with strong customer satisfaction and to finalize cross-pod and/or cross-region projects in a timely and cost effective manner.  Strong performance in this role requires the ability to leverage the collective range of experiences across the regional and enterprise operations team.  Throughout the implementation and/or project process, the Business Implementation and Monitoring Analyst will also need to engage directly with the client in ongoing communication to manage expectations and problem solve, as necessary. 

Along with delivering top-notch outcomes through operational and project management experience, the Business Implementation and Monitoring Analyst plays a critical role in improving Beacon’s regional operations model.  This team member must collaborate to develop a repeatable model for issue resolution by documenting and sharing best practices. The Business Implementation and Monitoring Analyst will periodically be tasked with sharing learnings across pods and across regions in order to drive strong client operations performance enterprise-wide. Similarly, the Business Implementation and Monitoring Analyst will coordinate with the Regional Operations Monitoring team and support the ongoing improvement of Operations Monitoring by providing insight on common issues and metrics to support our client operations experience. This role is critical in operationalizing and driving improvement to Beacon’s client account services model.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead implementation efforts in the onboarding of new clients or existing client new business through project management, solutioning and thought leadership.

  • Manage and lead efforts for cross-pod, cross-operations and cross-region projects.

  • Read and interpret contracts or scope documents for an understanding of implementation and/or project requirements

  • Gather, develop and document standard and custom business requirements in the implementation work plan

  • Create and monitor project deadlines both externally and internally

  • Identify risks, opportunities and propose corrective actions associated with the implementation and/or project timeline.

  • Utilize strong contract interpretation skills to manage discussion on topics such as, but not limited to clinical models, operational workflows, IT solutions, provider network builds, data reports, protocol / SOP recommendation and other MBHO industry processes and procedures to ensure seamless contract implementations or project results

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Enterprise Operations, West Region leaders and cross-country Regions.

  • Contribute to client satisfaction by ensuring seamless implementations, successful project outcomes and partnering with local and enterprise operations in monitoring and meeting client performance expectations.

  • Develop and implement effective processes to improve implementation, project and monitoring outcomes.

  • Develop strong internal and external client relationships built on trust and collaboration. Manage client expectations throughout the implementation/project cycle via regular communication on designated topics or issues.

  • Actively participates in cross-training with other team members, each educating on their area of expertise as well as learning other areas through training provide by other team members, with the overall goal to develop a strong, cross-functional team prepared to address a wide variety of client-generated operational issues.

  • Contribute to the development of a repeatable model for implementation, project and monitoring management.

  • Lead periodic forums with local and enterprise regions to discuss trends, remediation efforts and outcomes.

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Operations through monitoring to proactively identify operational issues with designated clients and support ongoing improvement of Beacon’s Operations Monitoring capability by providing insight on common issues and value-added metrics to track.

  • Adheres to all Beacon policies, procedures, and standards of operations.

  • Completes all required and assigned trainings.

  • Attends all mandatory company or department meetings.

  • Displays a positive, constructive, and helpful demeanor that is conducive to a safe and respectful work environment.

  • Adaptable to frequent change.

  • Can effectively and appropriately communicate with all levels of internal staff and external customers

  • Travel to all company sponsored events, trainings, and locations based on business needs.

  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned and required.

Position Requirements:

Education: High School diploma or GED required.  Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

Licensure:  N/A

Relevant Work Experience:   

  • Three (3) years of professional level experience in a technical operations role in a healthcare environment may be substituted for the degree, in addition to the work experience required below.

  • Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience, with at least two (2) of those years in a client-facing operations job with strong project management experience.

  • One (1) of those years in a managed care environment is strongly preferred.
