Job Description

Beacon is currently seeking to hire an Access Specialist to join our team at our Morrisville, NC location.

This position will facilitate the procuring of appointments with providers and determine the availability of facilities for members.  The Access Coordinator is also responsible for performing and reporting compliance driven member satisfaction surveys.  The Access Coordinator is responsible for performing both client specific and compliance driven provider availability surveys.  The Access Coordinator is responsible for performing/documenting post discharge member surveys.

What does a typical day look like?

  • Perform/report monthly and quarterly MHSA/EAP VOC member satisfaction/provider availability surveys
  • Perform other client specific provider availability surveys as requested
  • Verifying provider and facility availability within the specified turn around time
  • Scheduling appointments for members with providers/facilities within the specified turn around time.
  • Interacting with members, providers, and Beacon Health Options staff
  • Perform/document post discharge member surveys within required turn around time
  • Identifying obstacles to accessing appropriate care and aftercare
  • Assisting members in overcoming barriers to accessing treatment
  • Refer problems to appropriate Beacon Health Options personnel
    • This position will have consultation with and access to a licensed health professional

What you Contribute?

Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

Licensure: Not Required 

Relevant Experience: Two to three years of industry or customer service experience.  A college degree may be considered in waiving customer service experience requirement.  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Perform duties in a timely manner
