We are currently seeking a dynamic Technical Advisor, National Eligibility Processing and Claims Clinical Services  to join our team at our office in Latham, New York.  The Technical Advisor, National Eligibility Processing and Claims Clinical Services will provide technical support to the Eligibility Specialists and Authorization Review Analysts, identify/ trends system related issues, assists with the development of training tools and policies and procedures and provides staff training. This position supports all clients across all divisions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to the staff
  • Assign urgent inquiries to the appropriate staff
  • Monitor and distribute emails received in the Eligibility Production Support email Inbox. Ensure that the Specialists are following through on each email request.
  • Perform quality checks of the staff which includes auditing of inquiries, manual updates and file loads. Provide feedback to the staff and the management team as dictated in the Integrated Eligibility Quality Program.
  • Trend data and perform individual and group up training if trends are identified.
  • Review issues with file loads and general eligibility issues prior to contacting the business system analysts
  • Analyze inquiry and error report trends in an effort to proactively identify client service improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in process improvement workgroups
  • Support testing for systems modifications.
  • Provide training to new staff and remedial training to existing staff.
  • Input staff production into the production database.

Position Requirements:

•     Education:  A high school/GED diploma is required.  A Bachelors Degree is preferred    

•     Licensures: none     

•     Relevant Work Experience:  Two – four years’ experience in health care/health insurance, in an eligibility setting, is preferred. Strong computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint and Intranet applications is required
