We are currently seeking a dynamic Director, Network Strategy to join our team at our office in Boston, MA or remote. The Director, Network Strategy will be responsible for partnering in the development of a best-in-class provider experience, streamline Beacon network operations to support provider experience and be a sought-after internal thought partner on creating and maintaining a provider network that providers want to join. The Director will be a generalist capable of jumping into numerous projects and getting up to speed quickly to identify and deliver value. The Director will work in a matrixed environment and must use informal influence to bring colleagues across the enterprise along in order to be collectively successful.


Serve as a key resource in driving the vision of new operating models as well as participate in the internal and external change management required to realize the vision. Serve as a partner to the Corporate Strategy & Operations teams and through using informal influence help execute on network and provider innovation through the use of technology & operational transformation.

Target outcomes

  • Assist AVP of Network Strategy to develop, repeatable, scalable implementation process that takes 6 weeks/client launch for telemental health for all client types by April 2017
  • Roll out telemental health vendor to all service centers by July 2017 with a target of 500-1000 telemental health visits in 2017
  • Roll out 1st Medicaid client on telemental health by Q3 2017
  • Conduct audit/assessment of current provider search processes and work to reduce provider searches by 15% by end of 2017
  • Assist in reduction of missed access PGs by 10%
  • Assist in development and prioritization of programs for Member Access initiatives across Beacon – including but not limited to: current state access assessment, identification of opportunity areas, development of solutions and work-plans for target opportunities, execution of work-plans and measurement of desired outcomes
  • In partnership with department leadership, execute on identified provider initiatives to pilot each year (operational, clinical, administrative or financial)
  • Identify 1-2 A players to join Beacon each year

Position Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree

Relevant Work Experience:   Candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in healthcare space specifically focused on program development and implementation, including experience supervision of teams. Healthcare project work valued highly.
